Dr. Borgatta, the director and founder of Starbright, is a specialist in early childhood
and primary education. She has been in the field of education for over 25 years. She
holds a Master's of Arts in Adult and Community Education and a Doctorate of Education
in Early Childhood Administration.
Dr. Borgatta was an instructor at the University of Alaska for over 10 years and recently
taught at Everett Community College and Washington State University Co-operative Extension.
She also worked as a trainer for the National Administrator Credential with the National
Child Care Association.
She is an experienced certified preschool, elementary, and high school teacher in both the
states of Alaska and Washington. Dr. Borgatta recently left the state of Alaska after 20 years
where she owned and operated another high quality, accredited early childhood program.
She is currently enjoying her years in Washington where she has established this new site for
Starbright Early Learning Center.
Although Dr. Borgatta is an experienced college instructor and educational consultant, she is
happiest in her role as an on-site director and music/movement ans Spanish teacher at this
quality program.
